The customer
PRODESA, an industrial leader in the forest-based biomass sector, specialises in supplying turnkey projects for complete biomass pellet production plants, covering design and engineering, in-house equipment manufacturing, assembly, commissioning, and comprehensive after-sales service.
Founded in 1999, PRODESA is headquartered in Zaragoza, Spain, and has an international presence in Atlanta (USA), Paris (France), Riga (Latvia), Hanoi (Vietnam), and more recently, India.
The challenge
1. Optimising treasury management to free up the team’s time
The PRODESA finance team previously managed their entire treasury using Excel, manually recording all incoming and outgoing payments. Now, they work with recurring forecasts for payments and receipts, resulting in considerable time savings for the team.
2. Improving report quality while reducing effort
Previously, the finance team had to log into each bank individually to create reports and monitor daily transactions. Nowadays, they have set up weekly reports in Embat that automatically update with the overall bank balances, giving them up-to-date information at their fingertips in a matter of seconds.

PRODESA can now see the consolidated balance of their 56 bank accounts in real-time, without needing to log into each bank separately, saving the team a significant amount of time.
Global and account-specific balance visibility in the desired currency
With a strong international presence, PRODESA operates in 4 currencies and manages an extensive cash pool with over 120 banking products. They can choose to view their bank balances in their selected currency, in real-time, using the spot exchange rate.
